Marine Salvage Business Development Director

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Head of New Business Development Marine Insurance to join our team at Marine Salvage Co / Global Salvage Sales. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in business development, with a deep understanding of marine insurance and claims processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy, focusing on the insurance claims sector and marine insurance.
- Relationship Building: Build and maintain strong relationships with insurers, brokers, claims adjusters, and other key stakeholders.
- Team Building and Management: Lead a high-performing team of business development professionals, focused on driving business growth and revenue.
- Lead Generation Process Design: Design and implement efficient lead generation and qualification processes using best-in-class CRM and lead management tools.
- Sales Process Optimization: Optimize the sales pipeline, ensuring a streamlined workflow from initial lead contact to closing.
Requirements:
- Industry Knowledge: Deep knowledge of marine insurance, claims processes, or related insurance fields preferred.
- Experience: Proven track record in business development, with specific experience in scaling teams and processes from scratch.
- Leadership Ability: Demonstrated success in hiring, training, and managing a team, with strong organizational and motivational skills.
- Tech-Savvy: Proficient with CRM systems, lead generation tools, and data analysis for business development purposes.
