Job Description
We are seeking a Head of New Business Development Marine Insurance to lead our business growth efforts. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive business development strategy focused on the insurance claims sector, with an emphasis on marine insurance and other salvage asset categories.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute a business development strategy, leveraging existing industry knowledge to forge strong relationships with insurers, brokers, claims adjusters, and other key stakeholders.
- Relationship Building: Utilize your expertise to build trust-based relationships with industry professionals, driving business growth and revenue.
- Team Building and Management: Lead a high-performance team of business development professionals, focused on scalable growth and process optimization.
- Lead Generation Process Design: Create and implement efficient lead generation and qualification processes using best-in-class CRM and lead management tools.
- Sales Process Optimization: Develop and refine the sales pipeline, ensuring a streamlined workflow from initial lead contact to closing.
- Performance Management: Set and exceed ambitious sales targets, utilizing data-driven insights to improve and optimize efforts continually.
Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per year
Requirements:
- Industry Knowledge: Deep knowledge of marine insurance, claims processes, or related insurance fields preferred.
- Experience: Proven track record in business development, with specific experience in scaling teams and processes from scratch.
- Leadership Ability: Demonstrated success in hiring, training, and managing a team, with strong organizational and motivational skills.
- Tech-Savvy: Proficient with CRM systems, lead generation tools, and data analysis for business development purposes.
- Work Ethic: Willingness to work long hours in a fast-paced environment, with a commitment to achieving and exceeding performance-based goals.
