Unlocking new opportunities in waste management.

Biffa is seeking a Business Development Manager to drive top-line growth within our National Bulk Liquid offering. This role will align closely with our General Manager Tankers and other commercial teams within the Specialist Services division.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and drive new business opportunities for the National Bulk Liquid product.
  • Maximise the utilisation of our national road tanker fleet to collect and transport waste liquid volumes.
  • Develop and manage a detailed new business pipeline to provide a clear business forecast of expected volumes and sales revenues.
  • Produce regular activity and pipeline reporting to give commercial and operational stakeholders visibility of current activity and forecast new activity.
  • Work closely with the General Manager Tankers to drive a growth strategy aligned with the needs of the business.

Requirements:

  • Experience of successfully developing, managing, and implementing new business services.
  • General knowledge of the waste sector.
  • Strong presentation, selling, negotiating, and influential skills.
  • Articulate, confident, and assertive.
  • Ability to work in partnership with internal departments, customers, and other organisations.
  • Robust and resilient, able to absorb pressure and respond positively.
