About the Role
The GAP Lifting Hire & Sales division is a leading provider of lifting equipment and accessories in the industry. We offer an extensive range of solutions to meet our customers' needs, from small shackles and slings to material lifts and aluminium gantries.
We are seeking a Technical Sales Engineer to join our team, reporting directly to the Technical Account Manager. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for maximising revenue opportunities from our existing major account customers. This will involve conducting inspections across multiple sites and providing solutions for the replacement or repair of failed or damaged equipment.
This role would suit a lifting equipment specialist looking to move into a more varied 360-degree role or a technically-minded, hands-on lifting professional with water industry knowledge. You should have significant experience working in a sales or engineering role within the lifting industry, although we will consider candidates from any lifting background.
As a successful candidate, you will demonstrate exceptional communication skills, with the ability to engage with both internal and external stakeholders at all levels. You will also be an effective negotiator and problem solver, able to work effectively under pressure and prioritise your workload.
You should be proficient in MS Office packages, including Excel and Word, as well as CRM systems. A driving licence is essential for this role.
