About the Role:


  • Support students with SEMH needs in a mainstream school setting.
  • Develop personalized support plans to help students overcome learning barriers.
  • Collaborate with teachers, other staff, and external agencies to provide comprehensive student support.
  • Assist with classroom activities, behavior management, and emotional support.

Key Responsibilities:


  1. Work closely with students, teachers, and other staff to create a supportive learning environment.
  2. Develop and implement effective strategies to manage challenging behaviors.
  3. Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure seamless support.
  4. Contribute to a positive and inclusive school culture.

Requirements:


  • Prior experience working with children with SEMH needs (desirable).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Patience, empathy, and understanding when working with challenging behaviors.
