Job Title: Ambulatory Outreach Nurse

We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Ambulatory Outreach Nurse to join our team at King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and support in our Ambulatory Unit.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will have a strong background in paediatric nursing and experience in ambulatory care. You will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the care of patients on the ward, coordinating the care given by all members of the clinical team, and ensuring that accurate records are maintained.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate the care of patients on the ward
  • Coordinate the care given by all members of the clinical team
  • Maintain accurate records of patient care
  • Act as a resource person to others, providing accurate information, advice, and support to the multidisciplinary team, patients, and their relatives
  • Ensure that clinical guidelines are implemented and participate in auditing practice
  • Contribute to the health education of patients and their families
  • Participate in research projects and promote evidence-based practices
  • Manage the clinical workload effectively and contribute to the delivery of a cost-effective service
  • Lead, coach, and manage the performance of the team
Requirements:
  • 1st level Registered Paediatric Nurse
  • Mentorship programme or equivalent teaching qualification
  • Further relevant post-registration professional studies
