Job Title: UK Sales Manager for Penguin Random House

Penguin Random House is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sales Manager to join our team in the UK. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing sales strategies to drive growth and revenue in the UK market.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to drive growth and revenue in the UK market
  • Manage business relationships with key UK distributors and retailers
  • Collaborate with our New York office and UK-based Associate Sales Director and Marketing Manager to provide relevant sales and market information
  • Present new titles to our distributors' sales teams on a regular basis via MS Teams and in person
  • Work with our distributors to secure retail promotions
  • Seek out and initiate plans to secure new sales opportunities
  • Work with the UK-based Marketing and Publicity Manager to ensure books are available to support publicity and marketing outreach as well as author events
  • Report weekly to the Associate Sales Director on sales performance and goals
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 3 years of book publishing sales experience required
  • Knowledge of non-trade/special markets, evolving trends, and retail merchandising are preferred
  • Ability to travel on average 2-3 days per month to the London area by train and to travel via plane once per year to New York City
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
