Job Description:

As a key member of our team at Vox Network Consultants Limited, you will be responsible for administering instalment agreements, service charge reductions, and service charge loans to assist customers in paying their service charges in an affordable way. This will involve referring customers to debt guidance organisations such as CAB and DWP, as well as managing your own portfolio of up to 1,400 properties. You will be responsible for the collection of this portfolio, while also contributing to an annual collections target of over £28m. This will involve responding to customer queries, attending resident meetings, and undertaking interviews with customers on site, in the office, and on home visits. You will also be responsible for ensuring that customers are working with us to maximise income using all available tools and escalation policies. This will involve managing accounts, extracting data, and compiling system reports to identify the highest debtors and maximise collections. You will also be responsible for proactively chasing payment, contacting customers to discuss missed payments, and influencing payment through persuasive negotiation. Additionally, you will be responsible for investigating accounts to trace absconded customers using council tax records, Experian, the electoral roll, and Land Registry. You will ensure that appropriate action is being taken in accordance with current policies and procedures, and will systematically contact mortgage companies or other lenders in line with our escalation policy.

Requirements:

Experience of service charge recovery for a portfolio of residential leasehold properties in a mixed tenure environment
Experience with a housing association or council
Experience of dealing with debt recovery
Knowledge of pertinent legislation, regulations, guidance, and good practice and how they relate to public sector leasehold management and service charges
Knowledge of residential leases and freehold transfers

Contract:

Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm
6 weeks office-based training, followed by 3 days from home and 2 days in the office each week
PAYE via Umbrella
Initial 3-month contract with the opportunity to extend
