About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Housing Debt Recovery Specialist to join our team at Wandle Housing Association Ltd. As a key member of our Customer Service Delivery Team, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our residents receive excellent service and support in managing their rent accounts.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Manage rent accounts and other housing-related debts, ensuring timely and effective communication with residents to resolve any issues.
  2. Maximize income collection while minimizing the risk of repossession through the use of direct housing payments, charitable applications, and other means of financial support.
  3. Deliver against annual team and individual targets for income collection, working closely with colleagues to achieve our goals.

Requirements:

  1. Knowledge of housing law, the regulatory framework, and good practice with regards to debt recovery essentials.
  2. Experience of presenting cases to court and knowledge of the court system and legal remedies relating to debt recovery.
  3. Commitment to providing a high-quality service to residents, colleagues, and external stakeholders.
