IT Manager
As an IT Manager at Branston, you will oversee the company's IT operations with a strong focus on networking. Your responsibilities will include designing, implementing, and managing our network infrastructure to ensure its stability and efficiency. You will develop and enforce network security policies, troubleshoot network-related issues, and lead a small team of IT professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and manage the company's network infrastructure, including DR, LAN, WAN, VPN, and wireless networks.
- Develop and enforce network security policies and procedures to protect against unauthorized access, cyber threats, and data breaches.
- Troubleshoot network-related issues promptly to minimize downtime and ensure seamless operations.
- Lead and mentor a small team of IT professionals, providing guidance and support to ensure the successful execution of IT projects, alongside excellent customer service.
- Collaborate with external vendors and service providers to procure and manage network equipment and services.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations related to network security and data protection.
- Plan and execute IT projects, including network upgrades, expansions, and migrations.
Requirements:
- Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (Desirable)
- Proven experience as an IT Manager or similar role, with a strong emphasis on networking (Essential)
- In-depth knowledge of network protocols, routing, switching, and firewall management (Essential)
- Experience with network monitoring and management tools (Essential)
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure (Essential)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (Essential)
- Experience with cloud networking and virtualization technologies (Essential)
- Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or CISSP (Desirable)
- Knowledge of VoIP and telecommunication systems (Desirable)
- Familiarity with ITIL or other IT service management frameworks (Desirable)
- Experience of working in a fast-paced environment (Desirable)
