Job OverviewA new opportunity has arisen for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team in Burton on Trent. This role is responsible for providing commercial advice and support to operational teams, ensuring the highest standards of operational delivery to maximise project profitability and minimise risk.
Key Responsibilities- Provide pre and post-commercial advice/support to operational teams.
- Support the operational teams in delivering high-quality projects that meet customer expectations.
- Ensure completion of contract documentation and support the Commercial Manager in undertaking contract reviews and negotiations.
- Manage and monitor contract terms and conditions, including contractual obligations.
- Support the Commercial Manager in resolving contractual disputes.
- Liaise with operational and finance staff to ensure work-in-progress and debt levels are accurately recorded.
- Maximise profit margins by identifying opportunities for cost reduction and value enhancement.
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with experience in a commercial environment.
- Good organisational and financial acumen, with an ability to analyse complex data and documentation.
- Ability to work under pressure, meeting tight deadlines and prioritising tasks effectively.
- Educated to degree level or equivalent, with professional membership of a relevant organisation desirable.
