Nichols College is seeking a highly skilled Payroll and Pensions Officer to join our team. As a Payroll Specialist, you will be responsible for preparing and processing payroll for approximately 250+ employees and contractors.

This role involves working closely with the Accounting Team to ensure payroll practices meet government compliance. You will also review and manage timecards within designated HR/payroll software (Quickbooks), provide support for Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, and handle all incoming calls/inquiries related to payroll.

In addition, you will research, resolve and communicate resolution to payroll issues or concerns, and ensure that payroll practices meet government compliance. We are looking for someone who can work independently with minimal supervision and has excellent communication skills.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  1. Process payroll accurately and on time
  2. Review and manage timecards within Quickbooks
  3. Support Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
  4. Handle all incoming calls/inquiries related to payroll

**Requirements:**

  • 2-3 years of payroll experience required
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision

We offer a competitive salary range of $18-$27 per hour, depending on factors such as experience, qualifications, skills test performance, geographic location, and seniority of the position offered.
