**Job Summary**

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Aspect Healthcare. As a key member of our pharmacy department, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and effective dispensing of medications to our patients.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • **Supervise and Lead a Team**: Oversee a team of pharmacy technicians and assistants, providing guidance, support, and training to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to perform their duties effectively.
  • **Medication Management**: Oversee the accurate dispensing and distribution of medications in accordance with established protocols and regulatory requirements, ensuring that all medications are stored, handled, and dispensed safely and efficiently.
  • **Inventory Management**: Monitor medication inventory levels across the hospital, ordering supplies as needed and maintaining appropriate stock levels to meet patient demand.
  • **Quality Governance**: Implement and maintain quality governance procedures to ensure the safety, efficacy, and integrity of pharmaceutical products and services.
  • **Audit and Compliance**: Participate in internal and external audits, addressing any findings or deficiencies and implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • **Process Improvement**: Identify opportunities for process improvement within the pharmacy department, implementing best practices and innovative solutions to optimize medication therapy and promote patient safety and well-being.

**Requirements**

  • **Qualifications**: NVQ Level 3 Pharmacy Technician or equivalent, and registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
  • **Experience**: A minimum of 2 years hospital pharmacy experience, with previous experience in a leadership or supervisory role within a pharmacy setting desirable but not essential.
