National Account Development Specialist

Southeast Traders Ltd is a leading wholesaler and exporter of retail, foodservice, and wholesale branded products in Scotland.
We pride ourselves on being market leaders in our sector and strive to collaborate and partner with our customers and suppliers.
This role offers the opportunity to develop your skills in account management and customer relationships, working closely with key National Account customers across the discount, convenience, and wholesale channels.
As a Junior National Account Manager, you will be responsible for managing and developing these relationships, analysing performance metrics, and identifying business opportunities to maximise sales growth.
The successful candidate will have strong commercial acumen, negotiation skills, and experience in FMCG sales, particularly in discount, export, and wholesale channels.
You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure customer satisfaction and successful account management.
This is a full-time, 100% office-based role that requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the retail, foodservice, or wholesale industry and proficiency in MS Office and CRM software.
Please note that there is no hybrid model in place, and the role is 100% office based.
Key Responsibilities:
- Full commercial responsibility for negotiating product prices, promotions, and customer trading terms
- Drive distribution of existing products while managing the product mix to maximise margins
- Gain listings in new customers and product categories
- Represent the company at trade show events and meetings
- Stay up to date with internal and external developments within the grocery industry
Salary: £40,000 - £60,000 per annum, depending on experience
