We are seeking a dedicated HR Advisor to join our client in Kingston for a 12-month maternity cover. This role is ideal for someone with a CIPD Level 5 qualification or equivalent advisory experience.

This HR Advisor will provide expert HR advice and support to managers and employees on a range of HR issues, including employee relations, absence, disciplinaries, and grievances. They will also assist with the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures, and support the recruitment process by coordinating job postings, screening candidates, and organizing interviews.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of HR practices, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to handle sensitive situations with discretion. They will also be able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team, and be proficient in the use of HR information systems and Microsoft Office Suite.

This role offers a convenient location within walking distance from the train station, and the opportunity to work in a supportive environment and contribute to meaningful HR initiatives. The successful candidate will also have the opportunity to work one day a week from home to support work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert HR advice and support to managers and employees on a range of HR issues.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
  • Manage employee relations cases, including absence, disciplinaries, and grievances.
  • Support the recruitment process by coordinating job postings, screening candidates, and organizing interviews.
  • Contribute to HR projects and initiatives aligned with the company's strategic goals.
  • Maintain accurate HR records and ensure compliance with data protection laws.
  • Facilitate training and development sessions as required.

Requirements:

  • CIPD Level 5 qualification or significant HR advisory experience.
  • Strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to handle sensitive situations with discretion.
  • Proven ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
