Job Overview:

Huntress in Maidstone is looking for a highly skilled Payroll Assistant to support our finance team. The successful candidate will have excellent organizational skills, the ability to multi-task, and a strong understanding of UK payroll legislation.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  1. Process payroll duties, including annual, quarterly, monthly, and weekly payrolls
  2. Prepare and draft documents, such as pay slips, P45s, and P60s
  3. Manage end-of-year processing and reconciliations, including RTI submissions to HMRC
  4. Process tax code changes and new starters, leavers, absence, statutory leave, and pay
  5. Support the finance team with general finance duties, including reconciliations, accounts payable/receivable, and month-end processes
Qualifications and Experience:
  • 1-2 years experience in a busy payroll function
  • Grade C and above at GCSE English & Maths
  • In-depth understanding of UK payroll legislation and compliance
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
Estimated Salary:

£30,000 per annum
