Palliative Care Director

This is an exciting opportunity to join CV-Library as Palliative Care Director, where you will lead our inpatient unit and provide expert leadership and management to the clinical team. The role involves developing and implementing operational plans, improving patient outcomes, and enhancing the overall quality of care.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in palliative care and a proven track record of leadership, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You will work closely with the Director of Clinical Services and other senior staff to develop and implement strategies for improving patient care and services.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the inpatient unit, providing strategic direction and guidance to the clinical team.
- Develop and implement operational plans to improve patient outcomes and service efficiency.
- Collaborate with other senior staff to develop and implement strategies for improving patient care and services.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, organisational policies, and best practices.
- Manage and develop the clinical team, including administration staff, to ensure effective delivery of patient services.
Requirements:
- Registered Adult Nurse qualification and post-registration qualification in palliative care or relevant area of practice.
- Educated to first degree level in relevant area of practice.
- Advanced communication skills qualification or willingness to undertake.
- Qualification or evidence of additional training in leadership.
- Study at Masters level or willingness to work towards.
- Current NMC registration.
