GREAT ORMOND STREET HOSPITAL FOR CHILDREN NHS FOUNDATION TRUST is seeking a skilled and compassionate Palliative Care Specialist to join our esteemed team. As a leading paediatric palliative care centre in Europe, we aim to deliver the highest standard of care to children and their families.

The Louis Dundas Centre at GOSH promotes academic research and clinical expertise to ensure that all patients have access to specialist care. We strive to bring together medical professionals, researchers, and educators to advance the field of paediatric palliative medicine.

This role will focus on promoting and supporting the delivery of all aspects of palliative and end-of-life care to GOSH patients referred from multiple sources within London and the South East of England. The team works collaboratively to provide comprehensive care both on-site and in patients' homes, local hospitals, or hospices.

Main Responsibilities
  • To work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to provide high-quality palliative care to children and their families.
  • To develop and maintain effective relationships with colleagues, patients, and families to ensure seamless care delivery.
  • To contribute to the development of policies, procedures, and guidelines related to palliative care.
  • To participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the advancement of paediatric palliative medicine.
Requirements
  • Hold GMC specialist registration with a Licence to Practice (obtained by designated start date).
  • Possess MRCP, MRCPCH or equivalent postgraduate qualification in Paediatrics.
  • Hold CCT/CCST in Paediatric Palliative Medicine (PPM) or equivalent training and experience (eligible for CESR).
Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range £75,000 - £100,000 per annum, depending on experience.
