Job Description

This exciting opportunity will support the Director of Cancer and Palliative Care Nursing in leading the specialist palliative care nursing agenda across all four hospitals in the BH Group. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 years operational management experience in an acute trust or hospice, with experience in cancer/palliative care within an acute trust.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead on the specialist palliative care nursing agenda
  • Support the Director of Cancer and Palliative Care Nursing
  • Work strategically to influence and support palliative and end-of-life care
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 5 years operational management experience in an acute trust or hospice
  • Experience in cancer/palliative care within an acute trust
  • Informal and formal teaching experience
Qualifications and Skills

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A Registered nurse on the NMC register
  • Educated to Masters level in cancer or specialist palliative care
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Estimated Salary

The estimated salary for this role is £80,000 - £100,000 per annum, depending on experience.
