About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Bespoke Support Worker to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing daily trauma-informed support to children and young people, ensuring their physical, emotional, and psychological needs are met.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safety and Well-being: Provide daily trauma-informed support to ensure the child's safety and well-being
- Education and Employment: Support the child's engagement with education/training/employment
- Community Involvement: Promote good relationships with neighbours and the wider community
- Leisure Activities: Facilitate access to community, cultural, and leisure activities
- Family Contact: Promote Family Time contact for children looked after with birth family members
- Missing Protocol: Adhere to the Philomena protocol if the child goes missing
- Logbook Maintenance: Maintain a daily logbook/incident book
- Risk Notification: Notify package managers of incidents and significant risks
Requirements:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends
- Experience working with children and young people
- Understanding of trauma-informed care principles
- Valid DBS check
Salary: £26,000 - £30,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
