Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Trauma Fellow to join our team at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh. As a Major Trauma Centre, we provide comprehensive care for critically injured patients, and this role will play a crucial part in shaping our service.

Key Responsibilities
  • To coordinate the pathway for multiply injured patients, working closely with our multidisciplinary team.
  • To lead others, think strategically, and communicate effectively, influencing decisions and outcomes.
  • To improve care in a complex healthcare organisation, demonstrating commitment to excellence and patient safety.
Requirements

We are looking for an individual with:

  • Post FY2 / Early CT level training or equivalent experience.
  • A strong interest in emergency medicine, anaesthesia, orthopaedics, general surgery, critical care, or other surgical specialties.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • The ability to work collaboratively and strategically, driving improvement in patient care.
What We Offer

This fixed-term, full-time (40 hours per week) position offers:

  • A competitive salary, estimated to be around £45,000-£60,000 per annum, depending on experience.
