Clinical Specialist in Children's Physiotherapy

This role offers a unique opportunity to work as a clinical specialist in children's physiotherapy, delivering safe, effective person-centred care to children and young people in a major trauma centre. The estimated salary for this position is £68,000 - £85,000 per annum.

As a member of our team, you will be part of a multidisciplinary team who work collaboratively to support children and young people to recover after a major trauma. We predominantly deliver inpatient rehabilitation services to children and young people up to 16 years who have been admitted following a traumatic injury.

The Royal Hospital for Children and Young People is one of three Paediatric Major Trauma Centres in Scotland and provides care to children and young people across the South East of Scotland. As well as working with the Major Trauma Team, this is an opportunity to work with experienced physiotherapists across MSK, Major Trauma, Spinal Service, Respiratory, Neurology as well as the wider multi-disciplinary team to develop knowledge and skills within a children and young people setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to deliver safe, effective person-centred care to children and young people.
  • To develop and maintain relationships with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care delivery.
  • To contribute to the development of the team through ongoing training and development opportunities.
