Edinburgh, Edinburgh, United Kingdom NHS Scotland Full time

We are seeking a highly skilled Emergency Medicine Specialist to join our team at University Hospital Wishaw. As a Consultant Physician in Emergency Care, you will work within the Emergency Department, which is a Trauma Unit within the Scottish Trauma Network.

The department has an annual attendance of 80,000, with approximately 25% of its attendances being paediatric. You will be part of a multidisciplinary team, working closely with emergency medicine trainees, specialty doctors, clinical fellows, and other healthcare professionals.

We are committed to providing a sustainable work/life balance, with a well-established self-rostering system in place. Clinical administration time has been factored in, and we have no plans to move to consultant night-shifts.

As a Senior Emergency Medicine Doctor, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the training and development of the entire team, and we are committed to expanding our team further to continue to provide excellent, progressive care.

We welcome applications from both newly qualified and established Consultants in Emergency Medicine. Applicants who wish to arrange job plans to accommodate other professional interests are encouraged to apply.

The job is offered as a full-time post on a 10 PA basis, including up to 2 non-DCC. We are happy to consider requests for this publication to be in another accessible format.
