Medical Solutions: Respiratory Medicine Specialist Needed

We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Medicine Specialist to join our team at Medical Solutions. As a key member of our locum staff, you will provide high-quality patient care in a dynamic and supportive environment.

About the Role:

This is a full-time position with competitive hourly rate of £65-£85 per hour. You will be working 45-50 hours per week in person at an NHS Trust Hospital. The contract length is 12 months, with the possibility of extension or permanent placement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Clinical Care:
  • Assess, diagnose, and manage a wide range of clinical conditions under consultant supervision.
  • Participate in ward rounds, outpatient clinics, and theatre sessions where applicable.
  • Manage patients admitted for elective or emergency care, including peri-operative care where relevant.
  • Liaise with consultants, GPs, and other multidisciplinary team members to ensure integrated care.
  • On-Call Duties:
  • Participate in the on-call rota as required.
  • Provide emergency care for patients, including attending to emergencies in the hospital.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong clinical skills in Respiratory Medicine, demonstrated by previous training and clinical experience.
  • Ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to manage complex patients and make clinical decisions under pressure.
  • Strong leadership and supervisory skills.
