Family Support Coordinator

This role offers a unique opportunity for a motivated Family Support Coordinator to join our dynamic Family Support & Protection Team in Harlow, Essex. The successful candidate will play a vital role in promoting the well-being and safety of children and families, while contributing to the development of organizational capability.
The salary for this permanent position is up to £43,839 per annum.
About the Role- To assess and plan interventions for children, families, or caregivers with complex needs, ensuring compliance with relevant legal frameworks, policies, and guidelines.
- To evaluate family dynamics and provide guidance and assistance when relationship issues pose a risk to the well-being or safety of children vulnerable to abuse or neglect.
- To bid collaborate with other professionals, both internally and externally, to empower children, young people, and families to improve their lives and regain control over their communities.
- To carry out thorough assessments or enquiries, developing responses to safeguard children from harm, exploitation, or neglect, while fostering effective relationships with children, adults, and families as necessary.
- To arrange suitable alternative care arrangements (including permanent placements) in consultation with children, young people, and their parents/carers when they cannot provide adequate care.
- To promote autonomy and growth among individuals with complex social needs, who may be more vulnerable due to disability, exclusion, or diminished capacity.
Requirements:
- A Social Work Qualification or equivalent.
- Ongoing professional development.
- Social Work England registration.
