Job Title: Disability Youth Services Coordinator

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated individual to join our team as a Disability Youth Services Coordinator. In this role, you will work closely with young people, their families, and schools to remove barriers to education and learning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist young people in overcoming barriers to access universal services and learning or employment, providing impartial advice, information, and guidance.
  • Work with young people, their families, and schools to identify and address barriers to education and learning.
  • Manage a defined caseload of young people to establish their needs and offer intervention.
  • Support the development and delivery of intensive support to identified young people to remove barriers to education, employment, or training.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, including senior school-based staff, social care, SEND, Youth Offending Service, Housing, and partner agencies, to provide wider support to young people.

Requirements:

  • A broad understanding of the issues affecting young people, opportunities for learning, and the services provided by partner organizations.
  • Proven experience in effective collaborative working and influencing and negotiating the level and type of provision available.
  • Experience of line management of staff and extensive work with young people on a one-to-one basis and in groups.

Salary: £27,663 - £32,545 per annum (pro rata for part-time). The starting annual salary will be £27,664 for applicants who do not hold a Level 6 qualification, and the candidate will be put on a training course to acquire this.
