Strategic Account Manager

About the Role
The Account Manager will lead the performance of all our Schemes across the South region, maximising their potential. This role requires a strategic mindset, structured approach, attention to detail, and an ability to harness data to drive real change.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Account Management for key Schemes to maximise their potential, deliver regional and UK strategies, and achieve mutually successful partnerships for Hiscox and brokers.
- Understand opportunities and challenges in the market through close and consistent broker engagement.
- Build market leading Scheme propositions in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
- Deliver growth targets on existing and new schemes. Identify new opportunities through broker profiling and prospecting.
- Collaborate with broker partners and across Hiscox Sales, Underwriting and Operations to routinely review scheme performance, identify opportunities to grow, improve the proposition, improve profitability and find efficiencies.
Requirements
- Account Management experience working for an insurer.
- Schemes or delegated authority experience would be beneficial.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills combined with a proven track record of relationship management and customer focus.
- Be able to adapt your style to suit many levels of engagement from a junior account handler to a Managing Director.
- Strong negotiating skills and abilities to empathise and influence.
- Be structured and organised to manage portfolio priorities.
