Job Overview:

Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated and experienced Teaching Assistant to support the delivery of engaging and effective lessons for Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) students in a temporary position.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the Class Teacher: Assist the class teacher in delivering high-quality lessons and activities that cater to the diverse needs of EYFS students.
  • Planning and Preparation: Contribute to the planning and preparation of learning activities, ensuring they are aligned with the EYFS curriculum and meet the needs of all students.
  • One-to-One Support: Provide individualized support to students with additional learning needs, helping them to overcome challenges and achieve their full potential.
  • Safe and Nurturing Environment: Assist in creating a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment that promotes social, emotional, and academic growth.
  • Assessment and Record-Keeping: Help with assessment and record-keeping, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records of student progress.
Requirements:
  • Qualifications: GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths, Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification, or Level 2 Childcare qualification.
  • Experience: Prior experience working with young children in an educational setting.
  • Enhanced DBS Check: Possess an enhanced DBS check.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • First Aid Certification: Hold a valid First Aid certification.
  • Experience with Special Educational Needs: Experience working with children with special educational needs.
Working Conditions:

This temporary position involves working within a school setting, following school hours and term times. The successful candidate may need to support outdoor learning activities and be prepared to assist with physical tasks related to the care of young children.
