Position: Early Years Foundation Stage Teaching Assistant (EYFS TA)

Location: Yorkshire and the Humber, West Yorkshire, Leeds

Employment Type: Temporary, Full-Time

Compensation: £95 Per day

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the lead educator in implementing stimulating and educational activities tailored for children in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
  • Support in the organization and preparation of lessons, including arranging educational materials and resources.
  • Provide individualized assistance for children with specific learning requirements.
  • Oversee children during recreational periods, ensuring their safety and well-being.
  • Help maintain accurate records and monitor student progress.
  • Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and fellow staff members.
Essential Qualifications:
  • GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics.
  • Level 2 or 3 certification in Childcare or Early Years Education.
  • Enhanced DBS clearance.
Experience, Knowledge, and Skills:
  • Prior experience in an educational environment working with young children.
  • Familiarity with the EYFS framework and curriculum.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Capability to collaborate effectively within a team.
  • Understanding of child development and diverse learning styles.
Desirable Qualifications:
  • First Aid certification.
  • Training in safeguarding and child protection protocols.
  • Additional qualifications in Special Educational Needs (SEN) support.
Work Environment:
  • Full-Time hours, Monday to Friday.
  • Temporary role with potential for extension.
  • Physical activities may include bending, lifting, and kneeling to engage with children.
  • Collaborative atmosphere within a nurturing educational community.
