Join our team as a Mental Health Support Worker and contribute to delivering high-quality care services.
You will be working with adults 18+ with various mental health conditions at our NHS hospital in Stafford.
This is an excellent opportunity to work in a dynamic environment and support individuals to achieve their full potential.
Flexibility with shifts is crucial in this role, with various shift patterns available including:
- 07:00 - 15:00
- 07:30 - 15:30
- 12:00 - 20:00
- 12:30 - 20:30
- 21:30 - 07:30
Requirements for the role include:
- Previous experience working in mental health hospitals
- CPI restraint training
- DBS on update service (preferred)
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to think critically and make effective decisions
Responsibilities:
- Assist residents with developing new skills
- Accompany residents to appointments
- Deliver personal care and support
- Empower residents to be independent by assisting with daily tasks (e.g., managing finances, grocery shopping, meal preparation, housekeeping)
- Organize activities for residents
