We are recruiting mental health support workers for a NHS hospital based in Stafford.

As a member of our team, you will support adults 18+ with various mental health conditions to live as independent lives as possible by assisting with their everyday needs when required.

Your flexibility with shifts is essential in this role.

Shift patterns include:

  • 07:00 - 15:00
  • 07:30 - 15:30
  • 12:00 - 20:00
  • 12:30 - 20:30
  • 21:30 - 07:30

Job Requirements:

  • Experience working in mental health hospitals (Essential)
  • CPI restraint training (Essential)
  • DBS on update service (Desirable)
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to make quick decisions and solve problems effectively

Key Responsibilities:

  • Encourage residents to develop new skills
  • Attend appointments on behalf of residents
  • Provide personal care and assistance
  • Enable independence by helping with day-to-day tasks (including finances, shopping, cooking, cleaning, etc.)
  • Organise activities for residents
