Autism Support Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Autism Support Specialist to join our team as a Support Worker. This is a challenging yet rewarding role that requires a unique blend of skills, knowledge, and personal qualities.
About the Role:
- The ideal candidate will have experience working with individuals with autism and learning disabilities, providing daily care and support in a residential setting.
- They will be responsible for building strong relationships with service users, understanding their needs, and empowering them to live independently.
- The successful candidate will also contribute to creating a positive and supportive living environment, promoting social engagement through activities such as holidays, social events, and hobbies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Daily Care & Support:
- Assisting with personal care, meal preparation, medication, and other daily tasks.
- Building Relationships:
- Fostering strong bonds with service users, understanding their needs, and helping them achieve their goals.
- Social Engagement:
- Organizing activities that promote social interaction, leisure, and enjoyment.

Requirements:
- A valid full UK manual driving license is required.
- Applicants must have the right to work in the UK.
Salary and Benefits:
£23,400 per annum, plus benefits, including paid induction, additional £1,200 per year based on 2 waking nights per month, overtime paid over 37 hours Monday to Sunday on a shift rota basis.
