Job Overview
Academics Ltd is a friendly and inclusive special needs school in Abingdon, seeking a Graduate to join their team as an Autism/Speech and Language Assistant. This role involves supporting pupils with a primary diagnosis of Autism who face communication challenges.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide one-to-one and small group support to children with Autism, assisting them with daily tasks, classroom activities, and communication development.
- Help children develop social skills, emotional regulation, and independence.
- Collaborate with Speech and Language Therapists to implement personalized learning plans and communication strategies.
Requirements
- A degree in Psychology or Criminology
- A compassionate and patient nature
- Experience working with SEN or in a similar role is beneficial but not essential
Benefits
