Senior Vice President of Global Market Management

We are in search of a Vice President Global Market Manager to lead the Quantitative Analytics (QA) Markets Architecture division, which is responsible for establishing development standards for QA Markets and enhancing the efficiency and simplification of the technological framework.
Role Focus
This position emphasizes spearheading the development of the Analytic Service, a significant project aimed at reengineering APIs to optimize the interaction between analytic libraries and IT systems as well as Front Office clients. The selected candidate will work in collaboration with various teams, including IT, QA Asset classes, and Front Office, to ensure alignment with the strategic vision of QA Markets Architecture.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive the development of the Analytic Service.
- Assist teams in integrating their libraries with the new system.
- Partner with Front Office and Technology to advance the technology stack across multiple platforms.
To design, develop, implement, and support mathematical, statistical, and machine learning models and analytics utilized in business decision-making.
Accountabilities
- Craft analytics and modeling solutions to intricate business challenges leveraging domain expertise.
- Collaborate with technology to outline any dependencies required for analytical solutions, such as data, development environments, and tools.
- Develop high-performing, thoroughly documented analytics and modeling solutions, showcasing their effectiveness to business users and independent validation teams.
- Implement analytics and models in accurate, stable, well-tested software and collaborate with technology to operationalize them.
- Provide ongoing support for the sustained effectiveness of analytics and modeling solutions to users.
- Ensure adherence to all Barclays Enterprise Risk Management Policies, particularly the Model Risk Policy.
- Guarantee that all development activities are conducted within the defined control environment.
Advise key stakeholders, including functional leadership teams and senior management, on functional and cross-functional areas of impact and alignment.
Manage and mitigate risks through assessment, supporting the control and governance agenda.
Exhibit leadership and accountability for managing risk and enhancing controls in relation to the work your team undertakes.
Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of organizational functions to contribute to achieving business goals.
Collaborate with other areas of work to maintain alignment with business activity and strategies.
Create solutions based on sophisticated analytical thought, comparing and selecting complex alternatives. In-depth analysis with interpretative thinking will be essential to define problems and develop innovative solutions.
Incorporate the outcomes of extensive research into problem-solving processes.
Establish and maintain trusting relationships and partnerships with internal and external stakeholders to achieve key business objectives, utilizing influencing and negotiating skills to attain desired outcomes.
