Position Overview
We are in search of a Vice President of Global Market Management to lead the Quantitative Analytics (QA) Markets Architecture division, which is responsible for establishing development standards for QA Markets and enhancing the efficiency and simplification of the technological framework.

Role Focus
This position emphasizes steering the development of the Analytic Service, a significant project aimed at reengineering APIs to optimize the interaction between analytic libraries and IT systems, as well as Front Office clients. The selected candidate will work in collaboration with various teams, including IT, QA Asset classes, and Front Office, to ensure alignment with the strategic vision of QA Markets Architecture.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the design and implementation of analytics and modeling solutions to address intricate business challenges utilizing domain expertise.
  • Collaborate with technology teams to identify dependencies necessary for analytical solutions, such as data, development environments, and tools.
  • Develop high-performance, thoroughly documented analytics and modeling solutions, showcasing their effectiveness to business users and independent validation teams.
  • Implement analytics and models in reliable, stable, and well-tested software, partnering with technology to operationalize them.
  • Provide ongoing support to ensure the continued effectiveness of analytics and modeling solutions for users.
  • Adhere to all Barclays Enterprise Risk Management Policies, particularly the Model Risk Policy.
  • Ensure all development activities are conducted within the established control environment.
Expectations for the Vice President Role
Advise key stakeholders, including functional leadership teams and senior management, on both functional and cross-functional areas of impact and alignment.
Manage and mitigate risks through thorough assessment, supporting the control and governance agenda.
Exhibit leadership and accountability for managing risk and enhancing controls related to your team's work.
Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of organizational functions to contribute to achieving business objectives.
Collaborate with other business areas to stay informed about business activities and strategies.
Create solutions based on advanced analytical reasoning, comparing and selecting among complex alternatives. In-depth analysis and interpretative thinking will be essential for defining problems and developing innovative solutions.
Incorporate findings from extensive research into problem-solving processes.
Establish and maintain trusting relationships and partnerships with internal and external stakeholders to achieve key business objectives, utilizing influencing and negotiation skills to secure desired outcomes.
