We are seeking a Bakery Service Associate who is enthusiastic, approachable, and dedicated to delivering exceptional service while maintaining high standards in our store. Reporting to the Store Manager, your role will involve supporting the enhancement of sales and profitability by executing assigned tasks that contribute to the ongoing development of the store and the provision of friendly, efficient service to customers, colleagues, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of all hot and cold food items for customers.
  • Overseeing the cooking of hot food items in the ovens.
  • Exhibiting a thorough understanding of menu items and accurately explaining options to customers.
  • Carefully wrapping and presenting food according to customer orders.
  • Replenishing sandwiches to ensure adequate supply during operating hours.
  • Utilizing the till to record orders, process payments, and provide correct change when necessary.
  • Complying with all operational processes, policies, and procedures set by Greggs and the company.
  • Adhering to food handling, safety, and sanitation standards while storing, preparing, serving food, and maintaining cleanliness in the department.

Required Skills/Knowledge:

  • Prior experience in a similar role or industry is preferred.
  • Basic understanding of health and food safety regulations in a food environment.
  • Ability to contribute ideas for delivering outstanding customer service and advancing the business.
