Position Overview: The Finance Support Coordinator will assist the finance department by executing a variety of administrative and financial responsibilities. The ideal candidate will manage accounts receivable, perform bank reconciliations, uphold financial records, and deliver general administrative assistance. This role is well-suited for individuals with strong organizational capabilities, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to juggle multiple tasks effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accounts Receivable Management: Handle the processing of accounts receivable invoices and oversee customer payment records.
  • Bank Reconciliation: Conduct regular bank reconciliations to ensure accurate transaction recording and prompt resolution of discrepancies.
  • Data Entry and Record Maintenance: Keep precise and current financial records, including the entry of financial transactions into accounting software.
  • Assist in generating financial reports and statements.
  • Administrative Duties: Provide comprehensive administrative support to the finance department, including filing, correspondence, and other necessary tasks.

Required Knowledge, Experience & Skills:

Knowledge:

  • Fundamental understanding of financial and accounting principles.
  • Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., Sage, QuickBooks, or similar) and proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel.

Experience:

  • Demonstrated experience in roles such as Finance Administrator, Finance Assistant, or Accounting Assistant.
  • Experience in a production or manufacturing setting is advantageous.
  • Experience with bank reconciliations is essential.

Skills:

  • Exceptional organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Capability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Problem-solving skills and the capacity to manage confidential information.

Qualifications:

  • A relevant educational background in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline is preferred.
  • Professional certifications (e.g., AAT, ACCA) are beneficial but not mandatory.
