Position Overview: The Finance Administrator will play a crucial role in supporting the finance team by executing a variety of administrative and financial responsibilities. The ideal candidate will manage accounts receivable, perform bank reconciliations, uphold financial documentation, and provide comprehensive administrative assistance. This position is well-suited for individuals with strong organizational capabilities, meticulous attention to detail, and the aptitude to juggle multiple tasks effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accounts Receivable Management: Process invoices related to accounts receivable and oversee the recording of customer payments.
  • Bank Reconciliation: Conduct regular reconciliations of bank statements to ensure accurate transaction recording and timely resolution of discrepancies.
  • Data Management and Record Maintenance: Keep precise and current financial records, including the entry of financial transactions into accounting software.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial reports and statements.
  • Administrative Duties: Provide general administrative support to the finance department, encompassing filing, correspondence, and various other administrative tasks as required.

Qualifications and Skills:

Knowledge:

  • Fundamental understanding of financial and accounting principles.
  • Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., Sage, QuickBooks, or similar) and proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel.

Experience:

  • Demonstrated experience in roles such as Finance Administrator, Finance Assistant, Accounting Assistant, or similar positions.
  • Experience in a production or manufacturing setting is advantageous.
  • Proven track record with bank reconciliations.

Skills:

  • Exceptional organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Capability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Problem-solving aptitude and the ability to manage confidential information.

Educational Background:

  • A relevant educational background in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline is preferred.
  • Professional certifications (e.g., AAT, ACCA) are beneficial but not mandatory.
