Insurance Technician

About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Insurance Technician to join our team at Howden Group Holdings. As an Insurance Technician, you will be responsible for providing technical administration support to our broking staff within dedicated Business Units.
Key Responsibilities:
- Meet agreed targets and handle assigned projects and contribute to others as required
- Provide management information to managers as required and assist in the creation of client and broking documents
- Process slips, quotes, indications, and endorsements, and perform technical duties (including data entry, credit control, chasing subjectivities)
- Keep informed of all regulatory and legal changes that impact on the job role and ensure up-to-date records are maintained at all times on the Company systems
- Respond appropriately to issues as they arise and develop positive relationships with their Business Units
- Deal with incoming enquiries from clients, insurers, and third parties as appropriate and respond to client renewals and mid-term adjustments as required
Requirements:
- This is an entry-level role, and full training will be provided
- Previous work in Insurance or a customer-facing environment is desirable
- Attention to detail with the ability to produce accurate documentation and ability to work optimally within a team
- Prioritisation and interpersonal skills, self-motivated, and ability to communicate optimally, both verbally and in writing
- Willingness to study for examinations and excellent organisational skills
- Confident communication, both written and verbal, and GCSEs (or equivalent) including English and Maths is essential
