About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Insurance Technician to join our team at Howden. As an Insurance Technician, you will play a crucial role in providing technical administration support to our broking staff within dedicated Business Units.

Key Responsibilities
  • Meet agreed targets and handle assigned projects with a high level of accuracy and efficiency.
  • Provide management information to managers as required and assist in the creation of client and broking documents.
  • Process slips, quotes, indications, and endorsements with precision and attention to detail.
  • Perform technical duties, including data entry, credit control, and chasing subjectivities, with a focus on quality and timeliness.
  • Stay up-to-date with regulatory and legal changes that impact the job role and ensure that records are maintained accurately on our Company systems.
  • Develop positive relationships with Business Units and respond appropriately to issues as they arise.
  • Deal with incoming enquiries from clients, insurers, and third parties, and respond to client renewals and mid-term adjustments as required.
Requirements
  • This is an entry-level role, and full training will be provided.
  • Previous work in Insurance or a customer-facing environment is desirable.
  • Attention to detail with the ability to produce accurate documentation is essential.
  • Ability to work optimally within a team, prioritize tasks, and communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Willingness to study for examinations and excellent organizational skills are also required.
