IBA Technician Job Description

Our client, a leading brokerage firm in Bedford, is seeking an experienced IBA Technician to join their team. As an IBA Technician, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional service, supporting business targets, and ensuring that all responsibilities are completed in line with company policies.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Develop strong relationships with business units, suppliers, and markets to drive business growth and success.
  • Assist in reviewing and processing IBA payment requests in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Manage a portfolio of insurers, ensuring that all necessary documentation is up-to-date and accurate.
  • Forward IBA settlements to cashiers within agreed time frames, maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Resolve queries promptly and efficiently, maintaining courteous communication with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure timely completion of cash identification and matching tasks, identifying and addressing any discrepancies or issues.
  • Assist with account reconciliation as needed, ensuring that all financial records are accurate and up-to-date.
  • Report any issues that could affect the department or the company, providing proactive solutions and recommendations.
Essential Skills:
  • Customer-focused with strong written and verbal communication skills, able to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Attention to detail and ability to produce accurate documentation, with a strong understanding of insurance market procedures and processes.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team, providing support and guidance as needed.
  • Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel, with the ability to learn new systems and software quickly.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external teams, providing clear and concise information and updates.
Desirable:
  • GCSEs (or equivalent) including Maths and English to Grade C or above, with a strong understanding of insurance market procedures and processes.
  • Understanding of insurance market procedures and processes, with experience working in a similar role or industry.
