About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Insurance Technician to join our team at Howden. As an Insurance Technician, you will play a crucial role in providing technical administration support to our broking staff within dedicated Business Units.

Key Responsibilities
  • Meet agreed targets and handle assigned projects
  • Provide management information to managers as required
  • Assist in the creation of client and broking documents
  • Process slips, quotes, indications, and endorsements
  • Perform technical duties, including data entry, credit control, and chasing subjectivities
  • Stay informed of all regulatory and legal changes that impact the job role
  • Maintain up-to-date records on Company systems
  • Respond appropriately to issues as they arise
  • Develop positive relationships with Business Units
  • Deal with incoming enquiries from clients, insurers, and third parties
  • Deal with client renewals and mid-term adjustments
Requirements
  • This is an entry-level role, and full training will be provided
  • Previous work in Insurance or a customer-facing environment is desirable
  • Attention to detail with the ability to produce accurate documentation
  • Ability to work optimally within a team
  • Prioritization and interpersonal skills
  • Self-motivated
  • Ability to communicate optimally, both verbally and in writing
  • Willingness to study for examinations
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Confident communication, both written and verbal
