About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Technician to join our team at Howden. As a Technician, you will play a crucial role in providing technical administration support to our broking staff within dedicated Business Units.

Key Responsibilities
  • Meet and exceed agreed targets and performance metrics
  • Handle assigned projects and contribute to others as required, ensuring timely completion and high-quality results
  • Provide management information to managers as needed, utilizing data analysis and reporting skills
  • Assist in the creation of client and broking documents, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail
  • Process slips, quotes, indications, and endorsements with precision and efficiency
  • Perform technical duties, including data entry, credit control, and chasing subjectivities, with a focus on quality and timeliness
  • Stay informed of regulatory and legal changes impacting the job role, ensuring compliance and adaptability
  • Maintain up-to-date records on Company systems, ensuring accuracy and accessibility
  • Respond promptly and effectively to issues as they arise, demonstrating problem-solving skills and a customer-centric approach
  • Develop positive relationships with Business Units, fostering collaboration and open communication
  • Handle incoming enquiries from clients, insurers, and third parties, providing timely and accurate responses
  • Manage client renewals and mid-term adjustments, ensuring seamless execution and customer satisfaction
Requirements
  • GCSEs (or equivalent) including English and Maths are essential
  • A-level Grade A-C (or equivalent) is desirable
  • Progression towards gaining professional qualifications is desired, but not crucial
