Job RoleAs a Trainee Insurance Specialist, you will be assigned to an Operating Entity and will be responsible for providing technical administration support to broking staff within dedicated Business Units. You will work as part of a team of Technicians who provide specialist support organized around lines of insurance.
Key Responsibilities- Meet agreed targets and handle assigned projects
- Provide management information to managers as required
- Assist in the creation of client and broking documents
- Process slips, quotes, indications, and endorsements
- Perform technical duties, including data entry, credit control, and chasing subjectivities
- Stay informed of all regulatory and legal changes impacting the job role
- Maintain up-to-date records on Company systems
- Respond appropriately to issues as they arise
- Develop positive relationships with Business Units
- Deal with incoming enquiries from clients, insurers, and third parties
- Handle client renewals and mid-term adjustments
- Respond to clients' queries
- Previous work in insurance, ideally as a technician, is essential
- Attention to detail with the ability to produce accurate documentation
- Ability to work optimally within a team
- Prioritization and interpersonal skills
- Self-motivation
- Effective communication skills, both verbally and in writing
- Willingness to study for examinations
- Excellent organizational skills
- Confident communication, both written and verbal
- GCSEs (or equivalent) including English and Maths are essential
- A-level Grade A-C (or equivalent)
- Progression towards gaining professional qualifications is desired but not crucial
