HR Business Partner Associate

Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled HR professional to join our People team at The Princess Alexandra Hospital NHS Trust as a Business Partner Associate. In this role, you will collaborate closely with a Strategic HR Business Partner and the broader People team to provide extensive and intricate HR guidance, serving as the primary contact for both employees and senior management.
This position offers the chance to enhance your operational and strategic expertise within a dynamic, yet supportive environment.
You will need to instill confidence in the managers you support, showcasing a pragmatic and innovative approach, along with a solid understanding of employment legislation and employee relations matters. Exceptional interpersonal and influencing abilities are crucial.
Key Responsibilities
- Utilize and analyze workforce data to assist your designated division in achieving their People strategy.
- Oversee administrative functions to ensure the effective and high-quality management of employee relations cases, suggesting and implementing improvements as necessary, including the upkeep of the employee relations case management system.
- Provide guidance and support to managers regarding employee relations matters, including disciplinary actions, grievances, and attendance management meetings.
- Facilitate and engage in employee relations case discussions in line with established procedures and best practices.
- Ensure the process for all employee relations cases is maintained to guarantee consistency and timely completion of documentation, ensuring it is submitted within agreed timelines to HR Managers, Directors, and other managers.
- Accurately document formal meetings, including minutes from disciplinary, capability, and appeal hearings.
- Attend divisional meetings as required, offering insights on the human resource implications of discussed issues.
- Organize disciplinary and grievance hearings, as well as appeal hearings, ensuring all relevant parties are informed and have the necessary documentation.
- Assist in creating training materials for employee relations topics such as disciplinary procedures, grievances, attendance management, and workplace dignity.
- Deliver training to managers on employee relations topics, including disciplinary actions, grievances, attendance management, and workplace dignity.
