Job Summary

Luminary Group is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our team in the field of wound care. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a critical role in providing specialized care to patients with acute and chronic wounds.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assessment and Treatment Planning: Conduct thorough assessments of patients' wounds, including measurements, staging, and identification of underlying causes. Develop individualized treatment plans based on patients' unique needs and goals, utilizing evidence-based practices and the latest advancements in wound care technology.
  • Direct Wound Care Interventions: Provide direct wound care interventions, including dressing changes, wound irrigation, debridement, and application of topical medications.
  • Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care for patients, including consultations with surgeons, physical therapists, nutritionists, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Patient Education: Educate patients and caregivers on proper wound care techniques, prevention strategies, and signs of complications.
  • Progress Evaluation: Conduct regular evaluations of patients' progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed to promote optimal healing and achieve desired outcomes.
  • Professional Development: Stay up-to-date with current research and trends in wound care, participating in professional development activities and sharing knowledge with colleagues.
Requirements
  • Education and Certification: Master's degree in Nursing with a concentration in Wound Ostomy Continence Nursing (WOCN) or a related specialty. Certification as a Clinical Nurse Specialist in Wound Care (CNS-WC) preferred.
