Position Overview

Are you an experienced Clinical Nurse seeking a rewarding opportunity to lead a dedicated team in a supportive environment?

HCRG Care Group is currently in search of a compassionate and skilled Clinical Nurse Manager.

Working Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday.

About the Facility:

HMP Norwich operates as a local Category B correctional facility, accommodating male inmates who have been remanded directly from court or police custody. The establishment comprises various wings, and HCRG is responsible for delivering comprehensive healthcare services around the clock. Our offerings include both emergency and primary care, alongside specialized social and palliative care within designated areas. Additionally, we provide a substance misuse service.

Key Responsibilities:

In this pivotal role, you will:

  • Guide and mentor the current nursing team, utilizing strong leadership and management capabilities.
  • Oversee the operational efficiency and effectiveness of nursing services, ensuring optimal care for all patients, including the assessment and management of complex clinical scenarios.
  • Act as a catalyst for change, innovating and implementing strategies to enhance health outcomes and develop new services where necessary.
  • Offer expert guidance on Long Term Conditions, collaborating with various stakeholders to enhance service delivery across different sectors.
  • Provide insights on frailty and care limitations, coordinating with local services to facilitate appropriate patient transitions through care pathways, including end-of-life considerations when applicable.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Current NMC registration as a first-level nurse.
  • Willingness to pursue further education at the Master's level.
  • Proven experience in managerial and leadership roles.
  • Comprehensive understanding of CQC regulations.
  • Ability to conduct thorough patient assessments and implement effective nursing care plans.
  • Strong clinical skills and the ability to function as a credible practitioner.
  • Proficient in interpreting clinical data and information.
  • Experience in managing complex clinical conditions and leading teams.
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative team player.
  • Ability to work independently and demonstrate initiative.
  • Skilled in writing clear and concise reports.
