Norwich, Norfolk, United Kingdom Norfolk & Suffolk Foundation NHS Trust Full time

Position Overview

We are seeking a Senior Clinical Practice Leader to spearhead the integration and advancement of the Advanced Clinical Practice role throughout the organization.

The primary objective of this position is to enhance the skills of the clinical workforce, offering leadership, governance, and support to Non-medical Prescribers, Advanced Clinical Practitioners, and trainees. This support will encompass establishing clarity in role definitions, developing policies, identifying Continuing Professional Development (CPD) requirements, and providing guidance to aspiring trainees aiming to elevate their competencies.

This role is dynamic and closely tied to the broader workforce transformation initiatives, innovation in clinical pathways, and workforce development strategies. The position will require collaboration with both internal and external stakeholders to cultivate a network of advanced practice professionals.

The ideal candidate will possess demonstrated leadership skills, extensive clinical experience at an advanced practice level, and a background in working within multi-disciplinary teams.

Key Responsibilities

The organization is on a journey of improvement with a renewed focus on direction. Our goal is to rank among the top quartile of Mental Health Trusts. Your contributions will be vital in achieving these aspirations.

We are looking for a motivated Senior Clinical Practice Leader to join our established Education Team.

This role is crucial in fostering strong relationships with all advanced nursing professionals within the organization, including those in training or aspiring to train, thereby nurturing a culture that values learning and development and is dedicated to shaping the future workforce of advanced nursing.

The successful candidate will present a comprehensive portfolio that demonstrates advanced leadership capabilities and clinical expertise equivalent to that of a senior clinical professional. Their clinical responsibilities will involve independent and autonomous practice within their chosen specialty.

Lead the implementation of advanced practice workforce strategies across the organization and contribute to organization-wide initiatives related to advanced practice, performance, and improvement. Ensure that the organization operates safely, efficiently, and delivers high-quality care while being well-led in all aspects of advanced practice for ACP and NMP.
