We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our team at Norfolk & Suffolk Foundation NHS Trust. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing clinical leadership and expertise in the care and treatment of our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical leadership to the clinical team, focusing on clinical risk management and delivering high-quality care.
  • Influence, lead, and motivate staff to deliver exceptional care, with a clear focus on clinical excellence.
  • Provide expertise, support, and advice to clinical practitioners on all aspects of clinical care, including implementing best practices and national guidelines.
  • Sustain a clinically based training program to develop staff skills and expertise.
  • Provide information, education, and support to service users and their carers on coping with diagnosis and treatment.
  • Interpret national guidelines and research to inform local practice and procedures, ensuring best practice is achieved.
  • Maintain expert status by developing training and improvement projects underpinned by research and legislation.
  • Contribute to the Trust's Senior Nursing team and participate in relevant forums and meetings.
  • Participate in and facilitate audits relevant to patient care.
  • Take part in RCA reviews and implement lessons learned from incidents and complaints within the clinical area.

Qualification

Essential

  • RMN/RNLD or equivalent professional registration/qualification.
  • Degree-level qualification or equivalent.

Desirable

  • Study experience at master's level or clinical experience.
  • Non-Medical Independent Prescribe.

Experience

  • Extensive experience requiring supervision and mentorship of others.
  • Extensive experience in the clinical area with a proven track record in delivering high-quality care.
  • Experience of leadership and management in specialist mental health or learning disabilities.

Desirable

  • Teaching or training experience or qualification.
