About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our Oncology Department at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital. As a Clinical Nurse Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and support to patients with cancer.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive patient care and support to patients with cancer, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning.
- Work closely with the multidisciplinary team, including consultants, doctors, and other healthcare professionals, to ensure seamless care and support for patients.
- Develop and implement care plans that meet the individual needs of patients, taking into account their physical, emotional, and social needs.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families, helping them to understand their condition, treatment options, and self-care strategies.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure that patients receive comprehensive and coordinated care.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures that promote high-quality patient care and safety.
Requirements
- Registered Nurse on the appropriate part of the NMC Register.
- Post-registration qualification relevant to the speciality.
- Significant post-registration experience, including some in a position relevant to the speciality.
- Able to perform clinical skills relevant to the speciality.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to provide high-quality patient-centred care.
- Ability to work without supervision and on own initiative.
